SPRINT 2 by Atari / Kee Games 1976. This was my 4th game that i picked up. I saw it on eBay and the seller was a local guy. It was listed as complete but non working. I was told the monitor was having some issues and that the boardset was not working. I believe my winning bid was at $32.00. ( Thanks James S.)  Even though it is a Black and White monitor game, it is still fun to play. Here is a photo of what the game looks like.

The boardset had alot of problems and had to be fixed. I sent it to Electron Forge and they did a good job and with a quick turn around time. They are on my links page. They repair alot of the older games and have an extensive list of what they can do. The monitor eventually came on after the working boardset was installed.  It picture didn't want to stay in one place or cooperate. After much time spent prodding and poking around throughout several weeks i ended up leaning into the the monitor chassis board and apparently i reseated the monitor board and it has been better since. I need to install a Cap Kit on this old Motorola monitor. There is some hum bars and the monitor is not nice and crisp, but it is very playable. I will be ordering a tune up kit soon.

Another problem noticed was that the Player One gear shifter was wacky. 3rd gear was the same speed as 4th gear. After pulling the control panel off, i checked the schematics and noticed that someone had been back there and switched some wires around. The problem is fixed now. SPECIAL NOTE : Steering wheels need to be taken off to get it through a normal size bedroom door... Pictures to be coming soon..

01/15/02  Cap Kit was installed and that fixed the hum/shaddowing scroll bar that was on the monitor.
